Equitable Distribution of Property

- The value of "non-marital property" (or property that is exempt from equitable distribution)
- The custodial arrangements any children under the age of 18

Certain property is exempt from equitable distribution division. "Separate property" includes assets that one individual acquired before the date of marriage, and assets acquired through gift or inheritance.
